Environmental monitoring for food manufacturers

For production areas where hygiene has to be proven: sample plans by hygiene zone, findings, trends and actions in one application.

Requirements

Prove hygiene in production.

Environmental samples show whether cleaning and hygiene measures work – and customers and auditors want to see the evidence.

Zones, not just points

Sampling points are grouped into hygiene zones – from product contact surfaces to remote areas. The closer to the product, the tighter the control.

Find pathogens early

Listeria and other pathogens should be detected in the environment before they reach the product. Every positive finding needs a clear response.

Different measurements

Pathogen tests with positive/negative findings, microbial counts, ATP rapid tests, airborne microbes and water samples – all of it has to be looked at together.

Fixed intervals

The sample plan defines which samples are due when – so no sampling is missed, even in shift operation.

Respond consistently

Abnormal findings call for root cause analysis, corrective actions and resampling – documented and traceable.

Audit-ready

In customer and certification audits, results, trends and actions have to be available quickly – not spread across binders and spreadsheets.

Can SteriTrend record positive and negative findings, for example for Listeria?
Yes. In addition to microbial counts and other measured values, you record findings such as Listeria or Salmonella as positive or negative. For a positive finding, SteriTrend automatically creates an event on which you document root cause analysis and actions.
Can we group our sampling points into hygiene zones?
Yes. You assign each sampling point to a zone and evaluate trends per hygiene zone. The floor plan also shows you directly where in production action is needed.
Can ATP rapid tests be documented?
Yes. You record ATP results as a measured value with their own warning and action limits – like any other sample type.
Can we keep using our existing printers and scanners?
Yes. SteriTrend is web-based, which means you simply open it in your web browser. You keep using your existing label printers and barcode scanners – no special integration is needed.
